The decade is coming to an end in just a few hours and I thought it would be great to look back at some of the best hockey fights of the past 10 years.  Puck Daddy put up his list of favorites a few days ago and I’m sure you will have yours as well.  I’d love to hear which scrap you think has been the best (and why) from this past decade.

I’m sure you know that I’m a Calgary Flames fan but my selection really is a coincidence.  I have chosen their melee with the Nashville Predators on March 20, 2004.  I have a specific reason for picking it.  I think any emotional scrum is great and there sure were a lot of bodies on the ice but when the goaltenders, Miikka Kiprusoff, and Tomas Vokoun, got involved, it turned into a whole new deal for me.

First of all, Kip is a relatively mild-mannered player and it was surprising to see him get sucked into the fight.  It’s not as common to see netminders tangle so that was another reason why this one just stood out for me.
