All Sports News:Goalie Khabibulin Has Herniated Disc
Article Summary:
This is horrible
Article Content:
Not good… Edmonton Oilers goaltender, Nikolai Khabibulin, is sidelined with a herniated disc and it looks like he’s going to need surgery today to correct the problem. I’ll tell you, when it comes to the spine, I get really nervous, especially for athletes.
This is horrible news for the Oilers who have lost 12 of their last 13 games with the Bulin Wall on the bench since November 16, 2009. He won’t be able to return for another 12 weeks but, really, at 37 years old, I’m not sure what’s going to happen.
The team is probably going to miss the playoffs for the fourth year in a row which is pretty sad, really. Of course, being a Calgarian (and a proud Flames fan), I’m not going to be crying too much.
