Maybe it’s just me, being a Packer fan and all, that I don’t speculate about what’s holding Brett Favre up when it comes to making a decision about the Vikings. The latest article I read suggested that perhaps he was holding out for more money. All this speculation is based on what players usually do. But that doesn’t mean it applies to Favre.

Favre has never really cared about money. He’s never held out for money because he’s always been paid well. Besides that, I’m not sure money is a motivator for him. Why is he taking so long to “decide” then? I’m not sure in his mind he is taking a long time. Have you ever met someone that moves slow and talks slow and just seems to go through life at their own pace? That’s Favre.

And if you’re going to flirt with signing Favre, you’ve got to know that. Will he show up at the last possible minute in Minnesota? I believe he will. He doesn’t like training camp, but he’ll do it. He’s probably the only one on the planet right now that doesn’t understand what the big deal is.
