The Dallas Stars might have won in a shootout over the Detroit Red Wings last night (their fifth straight win over the Wings at home) but they lost some key players during the game.

Both Brenden Morrow and Jere Lehtinen left the game with upper-body injuries. Morrow was blocking a shot late in the first period when he got injured. He went to the locker room right afterward and, although he played a shift in the second, he didn’t return for the final 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Lehtinen was on the ice for less than three and a half minutes in the first. It sucks for him since he’s already missed 16 games this season due to hip and groin injuries.

Morrow has been tapped for Canada’s Olympic team while Lehtinen was chosen for Team Finland so I hope they will heal quickly. The Games begin in less than a month.
