Chattanooga, Tenn. – Tim Torres knocked in four runs and fell a triple shy of the cycle as the Jacksonville Suns (75-57, 35-27) fell short in a comeback bid for a 7-6 loss against the Chattanooga Lookouts (63-68, 30-32) in front of 4,870 Saturday night at AT&T Field.

Lookouts starter Alberto Bastardo (7-4) allowed four runs and six hits over seven innings for the win. Brad Stone (3-3) allowed seven runs, four earned, with nine hits over three and one-thirds innings for the losing decision. Jon Huber (17) allowed a two-run home run in the ninth inning before recording the save.

Chattanooga opened the scoring in the second inning against Stone. Kyle Russell doubled with one out and scored when Jaime Pedroza hit a home run to right field for a 2-0 Lookouts lead. Keyter Collado next singled and scored on a Trayvon Robinson infield hit for a 3-0 score. The Lookouts made it 4-0 in the third inning as Russell belted a solo home run to straight away centerfield.

The Suns got on the board in the fourth inning as Tim Torres followed singles from Vinny Rottino and John Otness with a double to left-centerfield to score both for a 4-2 score.

The Lookouts added to the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. Dee Gordon and Jerry Sands reached on errors with one out and scored on a Corey Smith home run off the left field scoreboard for a 7-2 Chattanooga lead.

Jacksonville started the comeback bid in the seventh inning against Bastardo. Tim Torres led off the inning with a bunt single. With one out Matt Dominguez, celebrating his 21st birthday, belted a pinch-hit, two-run home run to left field, cutting the Lookouts lead to 7-4.

In the ninth inning Otness led off with a double before Tim Torres belted a home run to right-centerfield for a 7-6 score. Brandon Tripp later doubled with one out, but was stranded on a pair of strikeouts from reliever Jon Huber.

Suns RH Tom Koehler (16-2) will try to set a new franchise record for wins in a single season as he faces Lookouts RH Rubby de la Rosa (3-0) in the series finale Sunday at 2:15 p.m. ET.
